Recent Trends In Managing Diabetes & Metabolism Workshop

Continuous education and training is the ultimate aim for The Bridge Academy. And as we live in the age of technology, it is essential to learn how technology can remarkably make the lives of people with diabetes easier.

And hence, among offering different workshops to our “Rising Stars” physicians discussing human development, nutrition with diabetes, psychology of diabetes, and research, we will be offering this significant workshop covering the Recent trends in managing diabetes & metabolism to update them on different aspects about insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring systems.

Recent trends in managing diabetes workshop is fully endorsed by our partner ISPAD who believe in our mission to elevate and develop the standard of care among people with diabetes. The workshop will consist of 2 consecutive days on 21^st and 22^nd of December 2022 offered to 20 young physicians from all over Egypt at Dusit Thani Lakeview, Cairo, Egypt.

Intended Learning Outcomes By the end of the workshop participants will be successfully able to:

• Understand obesity in children and adolescents and the role of injectible GLP-1 analogs.
• Understand general guidelines for shifting patients from MDI to CSII.
• Interpret the ambulatory glucose profile and fine tune insulin accordingly.                     
• Interpret the reports and fine tune pump settings accordingly.
• On boarding patients on insulin pump. 
• Management of acute complications of diabetes while using CSII. 
• Tuning CSII during special situations.
• Understand the using of smart pens in children and adolescents.
